The intersections of Des Moines and Walnut Streets was the scene of a two-vehicle accident at 9:30 Sunday morning. Webster City Police reported an eastbound 2018 model Toyota Camry car driven by Daniel Murillo Delfin of Webster City stopped at the stop sign and then proceeded into the intersection. A northbound 2012 model Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Austin Carpenter of Webster City collided with the passenger side of the Delfin car. The Van Diest Medical Center EMS was summoned to the accident scene to check over both drivers and then released. Both the Delfin and Carpenter vehicles were totaled in the Sunday morning accident. Investigating officer Dalton Mourlam charged Daniel Murillo Defin with having No Valid Driver’s License, Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and Yield the Right of Way.
