Webster City boys tennis falls at Hampton-Dumont-CAL, 7-2

The Webster City Lynx boys tennis team returned to action on Tuesday, as they traveled to Franklin County to take on the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at Progress Park in Hampton. Webster City entered at 1-3, while HD-CAL entered at 1-4.

Hank Christeson would lose 10-6 in the opener, before Nathan Wardell answered with a 10-8 win. The Bulldogs reeled off 2 straight wins as Jesse Toftee lost 10-3, while James Elliott lost 10-0. Zayden Card responded with a 10-8 win, before a Lynx forfeit put the Bulldogs up 4-2 going into doubles.

The team of Hank Christeson and Nathan Wardell lost 10-3 in the first doubles, before James Elliott and Jesse Toftee lost 10-1. The Lynx forfeited the final doubles match as the Bulldogs captured a 7-2 win.

Webster City boys tennis returns to action on Thursday, when they host the St. Edmond Gaels in North Central Conference action at Webster City High School at 4:30 PM.
