The Eagle Grove Eagles boys golf team returned to action on Tuesday, as they made the trip to Hancock County to compete in a Top of Iowa Conference tri-meet at Britt Golf Course. The Eagles were joined by West Hancock and North Union.
Eagle Grove would finish 3rd in the meet, shooting a 180 (+36), the best score for an Eagle Grove team since 2016. Senior Brett Ascherl was the top placer, placing 2nd with a 38 (+2). Fellow senior Zach Hogrefe shot a 45 (+9) and placed 8th, freshman Grayson Chamberlin placed 13th and shot a 48 (+12), while fellow freshman Jayden Grandgeorge placed 14th and shot a 49 (+13).
Eagle Grove boys golf returns to action on Friday, when they host a Top of Iowa Conference tri at Eagle Grove Golf Course at 4:15 PM.
