The Wright County Broncos girls soccer team returned to action on Monday, as they made the short trip into Cerro Gordo County to take on the Clear Lake Lions at Lions Field in North Central Conference action. Wright County entered at 0-3-3, while Clear Lake entered at 4-2-1.
Clear Lake would take control early in the match with goals from Avery Hegvedt and Addison Jones to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The Lions continued to add pressure with a Zoe Koontz goal in the 50th minute, followed by an Addie Cooper goal in the 66th minute and Addison Jones 2nd goal of the game in the 69th minute as the Lions coasted to a 5-0 win.
Wright County stats were not available as of Tuesday afternoon, the Broncos return to action on Thursday, when they host Iowa Falls-Alden at Belmond-Klemme High School in North Central Conference action at 5:30 PM.
