
The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls golf team returned to action on Monday, as they made the drive into Webster County to take on the Southeast Valley Jaguars in non-conference action at the Gowrie Municipal Golf Course.
CGD would fall short to the Jaguars, as the Cowgirls finished with a score of 223 to Southeast Valley’s 208. The top scorer for the Cowgirls was junior Claire Kirstein, who tied for 2nd and shot a 52 (+16). Senior Maddie Askvig would place 5th and shoot a 53 (+17), sophomore Blaire Askelsen would place 7th and shoot a 56 (+20), while senior Jordyce Duncalf rounded out scoring by placing 8th and shooting a 62 (+26).
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls golf returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Iowa Falls to take on the Cadets in North Central Conference action at Meadow Hills Golf Course at 4:30 PM.
