Webster City boys soccer dominates Iowa Falls-Alden, 6-1

The Webster City Lynx boys soccer team returned to action on Thursday evening, as they made the trip east into Hardin County to take on the Cadets of Iowa Falls-Alden in North Central Conference action at Cadet Field. Webster City entered at 3-0, Iowa Falls-Alden entered at 0-3-1.

Webster City struck early as Israel Torres netted a goal in the 6th minute to the Lynx up 1-0. The Lynx then struck again in the 9th minute off a Connor Peck header with an Eddy Fuentes assist to put Webster City up 2-0, as Eddy Fuentes added a goal of his own in the 15th minute to put the Lynx ahead 3-0. Fuentes added his 2nd goal in the 27th minute, which put Webster City ahead 4-0 at halftime.

Fuentes then recorded his 2nd hat trick of the season off a penalty kick in the 57th minute that put Webster City up 5-0. Iowa Falls-Alden would score in the 79th minute to make it 5-1, but Connor Peck immediately added his 2nd goal of the night to bring the final to 6-1.

Webster City boys soccer returns to action on Monday, when they host Humboldt at Lynx Field at 5:30 PM.
