Webster City boys golf finishes 3rd at Woodward-Granger Tournament

The Webster City Lynx boys golf team returned to action on Thursday afternoon, as they made the trip into Dallas County to compete in the Woodward-Granger Tournament at Woodward Golf and Country Club. The Lynx were joined by the host Hawks, as well as ADM, Ballard, Boone, Madrid, North Polk, Perry and West Marshall.

Webster City would tie for 3rd with Woodward-Granger, as both squads shot a collective 306 (+18). The Lynx’s top placer was senior Cael Nixon, who tied for 5th with a score of 73 (+1), as Luke Firsching tied for 9th with a 75 (+3). Cole Miller tied for 14th with a 78 (+6), while Dawson Bertran rounded out scoring with an 80 (+8).

Webster City boys golf returns to action on Friday, as they compete in another 18-hole tournament at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora.
