Roland-Story girls track finishes 2nd at East Marshall

The Roland-Story Norsemen girls track team returned to action on Thursday, as they made the trip to LeGrand to compete in the annual East Marshall Girls Invite at the East Marshall Athletic Complex. The Norsemen were joined by the host Mustangs, as well as BCLUW, Bondurant-Farrar, Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Grinnell, Montezuma, Nevada, Newton, South Tama and Union Community.

Roland-Story placed 2nd with 90 points on Thursday, with a pair of winners in Adalyn Sporleder in the 200m dash, winning in a time of 26.88, while Madi Lucas won the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:11.89. Sporleder would place 2nd in the long jump with a mark of 17′ 2.5″, while the 4×800 placed 2nd in a time of 10:47.84 with the team of Truesdell-Johnson-Ziegler-Karsyn Lande. The Shuttle Hurdle team placed 2nd in a time of 1:08.86 with the squad of Jondle-Lucas-Rechkemmer-Helgeson, while Kennedy Petersen placed 3rd in the 200m dash in a time of 27.84. Adalyn Sporleder was 3rd in the 100m dash in a time of 13.59, while the 4×200 was 3rd in 1:54.30 with the team of L. Rechkemmer-Willis-Reitano-T. Rechkemmer. The Sprint Medley also placed 3rd in a time of 1:59.29 with the team of Helgeson-Jondle-Reitano-Petersen.

Roland-Story girls track returns to action on Tuesday, when they compete at the Ballard Co-Ed Bomber Relays in Huxley at 4:30 PM.
