Webster City girls track competes in Hannover Relays in Algona

The Webster City Lynx girls track team returned to action on Tuesday, as they made the trip to Kossuth County to compete in the Hannover Relays at Algona High School. The Lynx were joined by the host Bulldogs, as well as Bishop Garrigan, Clear Lake, Estherville-Lincoln Central, Fort Dodge, Humboldt, Lake Mills and Manson-Northwest Webster.

Webster City would place 9th with 23 points on the night, as their top placer was senior Cloe Savitski, who placed 2nd in the 100m dash in a time of 13.67 seconds. Adysen Poppen would place 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 36′ 6″, while the Lynx 4×800 also placed 3rd in a time of 12:54.81 with the team of Santiago-Andrade Murillo-Buakham-Reed. The Lynx’s 4×200 would place 5th in a time of 1:57.36 with the team of Hartnett-Weinschenk-Brim-Savitski, while the 4×100 placed 6th in a time of 54.79 with the team of Weinschenk-Wright-Brim-Savitski.

Webster City girls track returns to action on Monday, when they compete in the Ram Relays at Greene County Middle School in Jefferson, beginning at 4:30 PM.
