
The Webster City Lynx girls tennis team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip east on Highway 20 to take on the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets in North Central Conference action at Assembly Park in Iowa Falls. The Lynx entered Tuesday at 3-1, while IF-A entered at 1-3.
Iowa Falls-Alden opened fast on Tuesday, as Allie Severe of Webster City lost 8-2 in position 1. However, the Lynx rallied quickly with a Morgan Hackbarth 8-3 win and an Alivia Burns 8-1 win in Positions 2 and 3. Iowa Falls-Alden flipped momentum back in the next 2 matches, as Cyra Christensen lost 8-4 and Perla Torres lost 8-1. Gabbie Sebert was able to even things up with an 8-2 win heading into doubles.
In doubles, Webster City took firm control with the team of Alivia Burns/Allie Severe won their match 8-3, as the team of Morgan Hackbarth and Gabbie Sebert secure the meet for Webster City with an 8-2 win, as the Lynx would win the meet 5-4.
Webster City girls tennis returns to action on Friday, when they travel to Caldwell Park in Pella to take on the Pella Dutch and Dike-New Hartford Wolverines beginning at 9:30 AM.
