Former South Hamilton star and UNI defensive lineman Carter Hewitt entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Tuesday, according to a report from On3 Sports reporter Pete Nankos and confirmed by Hewitt on X.
Hewitt, a 2021 graduate from South Hamilton, tallied 52 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and a sack in his redshirt junior campaign at UNI and was a Preseason All-Missouri Valley Football Conference Honorable Mention selection.
Hewitt was a 1st team all-district and 3rd team all-state selection in football his senior season at South Hamilton in 2020.
