
The South Hamilton Hawks, Eagle Grove Eagles and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls golf teams returned to action on Tuesday, as they competed in a tri-meet at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Clarion.
Eagle Grove would come away as the meet winner with a team score of 204 (+60), as the top scorer was senior Piper Willard, who shot a 48 (+12). Freshman Azlyn Amonson and senior Kennedy Thacker would each shoot 50’s (+14), while freshman Salem Willard rounded out scoring with a 56 (+20).
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows was 2nd with a team score of 246 (+102) as their top scorer was Maddie Askvig, who shot a 56 (+20). Claire Kirstein and Blaire Askelsen each shot 62’s (+26), while senior Randi Anderson rounded out scoring with a 66 (+30).
South Hamilton would finish 3rd as a team with a score of 271 (+127), as their top placer was sophomore Grace Larson, who shot a 66 (+30). Junior Arynn Luppes would shoot a 67 (+31), Sophie Nibe would shoot a 68 (+32), while Kaylen Trask would shoot a 70 (+34).
South Hamilton girls golf returns to action on Monday when they compete at Terrace Hills Golf Course in Altoona at 1 PM. Eagle Grove girls golf returns to action on Tuesday when they compete in a TOI tri-meet at Britt Golf Course, while CGD returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Gowrie Municipal Golf Course to face Southeast Valley.
