
The Eagle Grove Eagles boys track team returned to action on Monday evening, as they made the short trek to Webster County to compete in the annual Dodger Relays at Dodger Stadium in Fort Dodge. The Eagles were joined by the host Dodgers, as well as Boone, Humboldt, Marshalltown, Mason City, St. Edmond and Waukee Northwest.
Eagle Grove would place 7th in the meet with 51 points, as their top placer was junior Syrus Willard in the high jump, setting a new PR by clearing 5′ 10″ and placing 2nd. Leelan Spencer would place 4th in the 100m dash in a time of 11.55, while the 4×200 would place 4th in a time of 1:40.75 with the quartet of Beck-Heaton-Nielsen-Thacker. The Eagles sprint medley would place 4th in a time of 1:44.40 with the team of Spencer-Miller-Heaton-Castro, as the Eagles 4×800 would place 5th in a time of 9:32.99 with the team of Waldo Martinez-A. Castro-Terwilliger-Vasquez.
Eagle Grove boys track returns to action next Tuesday, when they compete at the Lynx Relays at Webster City High School at 4:30 PM.
