
The Webster City Lynx boys golf team opened their 2025 season on Friday afternoon, as they hosted the Panorama Panthers and the Kuemper Catholic Knights at Links Public Golf Course in Webster City.
Webster City would win their opening meet of the year, by shooting a 161, as Kuemper Catholic shot a 163 and Panorama shot a 165. Seniors Cael Nixon and Luke Firsching would have the low scores for the Lynx, as both tied for 2nd by shooting 38’s (+2). Senior Cole Miller placed 7th with a 40 (+4), while junior Dawson Bertran rounded out scoring by placing 11th with a 45 (+9).
Webster City boys golf returns to action on Thursday, when they compete at the Woodward-Granger 9-Hole Tournament at Woodward Country Club, beginning at 1 PM.
