The next South Hamilton Community School Board meeting will be Monday evening, April 14th at 6:00p.m. in the school board room in Jewell. There will be a public hearing on the 2024-25 school calendar changes due to inclement weather. There be a review of flexible benefit reimbursements, fundraisers, open enrolment requests and an AEA purchasing agreement for the 2025-26 academic year. A cooperating agreement with Morningside University of Sioux City for next school year will be discussed. Other matters will include plans for a new football and track scoreboard, review of school class sizes and additional sections, approve the graduating seniors of the 2024–25 academic year, plans for the Spanish trip to Costa Rica and an upgrade of the sound system in the school gym. There will also be the purchase of a special education van for South Hamilton, athletic trainer services agreement, consider the disposition of obsolete equipment, discuss an architect agreement with Emergent Architecture, and plans for the sharing of the soccer program with the Ames Community School District. South Hamilton superintendent Heather Holm will have her report to the board plus other matters.
