
The Wright County Broncos girls soccer team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip west on Highway 3 to take on the Humboldt Wildcats in North Central Conference action at the Humboldt Soccer Field. Wright County entered at 0-1-1, while Humboldt entered at 0-2.
It would be a dominant first half by the Wildcats, as Humboldt got on the board with a Elise Hubbell goal in the 21st minute, followed up by a Sadie Hubbell goal in the 23rd minute to make it 2-0. Lily Allison added a goal in the 38th minute to put Humboldt up 3-0 at halftime. Wright County would strike early in the 2nd half off a goal by Jany Morales Mejia in the 50th minute to make it 3-1, but Humboldt would add a goal by Aranza Gonzalez-Garcia in the the 75th minute to clinch a 4-1 victory.
Wright County girls soccer returns to action on Monday, when they host Webster City in non-conference action at Belmond-Klemme High School at 5:30 PM.
