
The Webster City Lynx boys soccer team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field at Webster City High School. Webster City entered at 2-0, while Hampton-Dumont-CAL entered at 2-0-1.
Thursday’s first half would be evenly matched, as the Bulldogs and Lynx each traded goals and went into the halftime break tied at 1-1. The two sides would trade goals early in the 2nd half, but it was sophomore Dany Morales that put the Lynx ahead with his first goal of the year to make it 3-2. Webster City would add one more goal to settle a 4-2 victory.
Sophomore Israel Torres finished with 2 goals on Thursday, while Dany Morales scored his first goal of the year. Senior Eddy Fuentes-Cruz added a goal and 2 assists, while Francisco Ramirez-Carmona added an assist as well.
Webster City boys soccer returns to action on Monday, when they host Wright County in North Central Conference action at Lynx Field, beginning at 5:30 PM.
