Roland-Story boys golf knocks off Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, 165-201

The Roland-Story Norsemen and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf teams returned to action on Thursday, as they took on one another at River Bend Golf Course in Story City.

Roland-Story would come away with a 165-201 victory over the Cowboys, as Jack Birkland took home individual winner honors, shooting a 40 (+4) on the day. Hayden Eslick would shoot a 41 (+5), while Braylen Loots and Jake Knoll each shot a 42 (+6) to round out the varsity scoring.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows would be led by senior Caleb Seaba and junior Tristan Kakacek, as both shot 48’s (+12). Adam Hodson would shoot a 52 (+16) as freshman Teddy Yackle rounded out the varsity scoring with a 53 (+17).

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys golf returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Eagle Grove to face the Eagles and South Hamilton in a tri-meet at Eagle Grove Golf Course at 4 PM. Roland-Story boys golf returns to action on Saturday, as they compete in an 18-hole tournament at Jefferson Community Golf Course, hosted by Greene County at 9 AM.
