
Des Moines Police Friday morning apprehended a Fort Dodge man wanted in connection with an incident in Fort Dodge on March 28th. 41-year-old Dontay Diekman was arrested and charged with Attempt to Commit Murder, a Class B Felony, Going Armed with Intent, a Class D Felony and Possession of Firearm as a Felon,a Class D Felony. A tip came in that Diekman was living at 1530 20th Place in Des Moines. The officers made entry into the residence with Diekman taken into custody on the charges filed against him. The investigation is still on-going . As a result, authorities will not be releasing any specific details of the investigation at this time. Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to call Fort Dodge Polce or Webster County Crime Stoppers. The information is related to call of someone being shot at a Fort Dodge residence in the 1400 block of Fourth Avenue South on March 28th. The injury sustained by the male was non-life threatening. Others investigating the incident were members of the Fort Dodge Fire, Webster County Sheriff and Webster County Attorney’s Offices.
