
The Webster City Lynx girls tennis team returned to action on Tuesday, as they hosted the Clear Lake Lions in North Central Conference action at Webster City High School. Clear Lake entered at 0-1, while Webster City entered at 2-1.
Webster City pounced all over Clear Lake early in the battle of the cats, as Allie Severe won in position 1 10-5, Olivia Gallentine would win in position 2 10-3, Alivia Burns won in position 3 10-3, and Morgan Hackbarth won in position 4 10-1. Cyra Christensen would lose in position 5 10-5, but Gabbie Sebert responded by winning 10-2 in position 6 to lead into doubles.
The Lynx continued their great play in doubles, with the team of Olivia Gallentine and Morgan Hackbarth winning 10-6, while Alivia Burns and Allie Severe won 10-2. Olivia Bergman and Gabbie Sebert would lose 10-4 to wrap up a 7-2 win for Webster City.
Webster City girls tennis returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Iowa Falls to take on Iowa Falls-Alden at Assembly Park at 4:30 PM.
