The Wright County Broncos boys and girls soccer teams returned to action on Monday night, as they made the trek east on Highway 3 to take on the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at HD-CAL High School.
The Wright County girls would come away with a 0-0 tie against the Bulldogs of Hampton-Dumont-CAL, improving from their 10-2 loss to Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Thursday.
Monday would be a girls/boys doubleheader as the boys game followed, which also resulted in a tie as Wright County ended even with Hampton-Dumont-CAL at 1-1. Hampton-Dumont-CAL’s goal came in 72nd minute from sophomore Hunter Rienken. Wright County would even the match in the 79th minute with a goal from sophomore Elvis Chay to bring the final to 1-1.
Wright County soccer returns to action on Thursday, as the girls travel to Humboldt to take on the Wildcats at 5 PM. The Wright County boys will host Humboldt on Thursday at Belmond-Klemme High School at 5:30 PM.
