
Another meeting of the Webster City City Council is set for this evening in the city council chambers. The first item on the agenda will be the public hearing on the property tax levy for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year. The proposed maximum levy for the next fiscal year is at 17.42 percent. The levy is set with the city’s annual budget in mind, which is projected to grow from $4,801,836, the adopted fiscal year 2024/2025 budget, to $4,862,275, the proposed fiscal year 2025/2026 budget or, nominally, a $60,000 increase. The largest budget increases will fund employee benefits, police and fire protection, and the general fund.
The regular council session will begin at 6:00 this evening. A public hearing for the construction of the Beach Street PCC Rehabilitation Project will be at 6:05 p.m. The council is expected to approve the plans, specifications and form of contract and the estimate of cost for the Beach Street Rehabilitation Project to be awarded to TK Concrete in the amount of $940,099 and committing necessary funds to complete the project. The date of April 21st will be set for a public hearing to certify Webster City’s Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget. A resolution approving the retrofit of the East Lift Station with two New Pumps and Associated Components and authorizing the City Manager to enter into the agreement with the Electric Pump. The date of May 19th,2025 will be set for a public hearing on the proposed plans and specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the construction of the 2025-26 Watermain Repairs and Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project with the hearing set to begin at 6:05 p.m. A treatment agreement between the City of Webster City and Mary Ann’s Specialty Foods. The Webster City city council will discuss plans for the city’s clean up and drop off event set June 13th and 14th. A resolution approving the selection of Maguire Water as the Maintenance Service Provider for the City’s Two Water Towers and Ground Storage Tank and authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Maguire Water for the Maintenance Services plus other matters.
