
The Webster City Lynx boys tennis team opened their 2025 season on Friday afternoon, as they traveled to Fort Dodge to take on the St. Edmond Gaels in North Central Conference action at Butler Elementary School.
Friday’s meet began with singles as Hank Christeson won in Position 1 by a score of 8-3, while Nathan Wardell also won by an 8-0 score in position 2. Jesse Toftee would win by an 8-0 shutout in position 3, as James Elliott grinded out an 8-5 victory in position 4. Zayden Card would wrap up the singles portion with an 8-1 win in position 5.
Moving to doubles, Webster City would dominate the Gaels in both doubles matches. The team of Hank Christeson and Nathan Wardell would win an 8-0 shutout, before the team of Jesse Toftee and James Elliott won 8-2 to wrap up a 7-0 shutout by the Lynx.
Webster City boys tennis returns to action on Tuesday, when they travel to Clear Lake to take on the Lions in North Central Conference action at 4:30 PM.
