South Hamilton School Board and its Education Association review proposals for 2025-26 contract.

The South Hamilton Education Association made their initial proposal for the 2025-26 school year for its members at a special meeting last Tuesday evening. The proposal includes a $1,200 increase to its base salary, bringing it to $42,000, A 4 percent step increase for salary schedule advancements and adjustments to the Salary B schedule for junior high coaches. The South Hamilton School Board’s initial proposal to the association was focused solely on base salary negotiations.  The proposal maintains the base salary at $40,800. The board informed the South Hamilton Education Association of the intentions to age the salary schedule, meet state-mandated minimums of $50,000 for beginning teachers and $62,000 for teachers with twelve or more years experience , and provide a minimum salary increase of $500 for each certified employee. The South Hamilton School Board and Education Association will meet in closed session to work om a new agreement for next school year
