Fort Dodge Police are investigating a shooting late Thursday afternoon. The incident happened in the 400 block of North 10th Street at 5;23 p.m. When police and Webster County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they located a male with a single gunshot wound to the leg. Fort Dodge Fire ambulance transported the male to the Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment. The injury sustained by the male is not believed to be life threatening. Upon further investigation by Law enforcement on the scene, witnesses were located and physical evidence was collected. The investigation is ongoing.The name of the male injured has not been released. Assisting in the investigation with Fort Dodge include the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Webster County Attorney’s Office and the Fort Dodge Fire Department.
