Fort Dodge Police investigate Friday morning shooting incident.

On Friday, March 28th, 2025, at approximately 4:06 A.M., the Webster County
Telecommunications Center received a call of someone being shot at 1433 4th Ave S, in Fort
Dodge. Officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department, Deputies with the Webster County
Sheriff’s Office, and Fort Dodge Fire responded.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a male with a gunshot wound to the face
inside the residence. Fort Dodge Fire transported the male by ambulance to Unity Point‐Trinity
Regional Medical Center. The injury sustained by the male is not believed to be life
threatening.
Upon further investigation by Law enforcement on scene, witnesses were located as
well and physical evidence was collected. Members of the Criminal Investigation Division were
called in to assist with the investigation. Investigators are currently working to determine
exactly what took place this morning.
At this time, it does not appear as though this shooting incident is connected in any way
to the shooting incident that took place on Thursday, March 27th. This incident remains under investigation by authorities. Anyone with

The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted on scene by the Fort Dodge Fire
Department, the Webster County Sheriffs Office, and the Webster County Attorney’s Office.
