This (Thursday) morning, the Webster City Community School Board rescinded the resignation request of Webster City 7th through 12th grade activities director Jess Howard. A group of concerned school district residents met with the board on the matter Thursday. Howard will continue as High School volleyball coach for this fall in addition to her duties as activities director. The board accepted the resignation request of Jess Hector as Northeast Hamilton Principal, Rafferty Naughton as head 7th grade football coach, Zachary Brecht as a High School Ag teacher, and Don McNelly as a bus driver. The retirement of paraeducator Sandy Hicok was accepted. The following hirings were accepted by the Webster City school board. They are Emily Pruismann as assistant 8th Grade Girls Track Coach, Cassidy Nerland as 7th grade Boys Track Coach,Lisa Lyons as head 7th grade Boys Track Coach, Connor Larson as 7th through 12th grade Health Teacher for 2025-26, Aaron McCullough as the High School Vocal Music Teacher, and Brenna Barquist as Elementary Teacher for 2025-26.
