Roland-Story, South Hamilton girls track competes in Central College indoor meet on Friday

The Roland-Story Norsemen and South Hamilton Hawks girls track an field teams returned to action on Friday morning, as they competed in the Central College Indoor Meet at Central College in Pella.

Roland-Story would put up a great meet, taking home a handful of first place finishes. Adalyn Sporleder started the day by winning the long jump with a mark of 16′ 3″, before Kamryn Lande won the 200m dash in a time of 26.21. The Norsemen’s final win of the day was in the 4×200, as Roland-Story won in a time of 1:50.04 with the team of Sporleder-Petersen-Jondle-Lande.

Adalyn Sporleder would finish 4th in the 60m dash in a time of 8.06, while the 4×400 team would place 3rd in a time of 4:23.11 with the team of Riley Johnson-Karsyn Lande-Kennedy Petersen-Kamryn Lande. Adalyn Sporleder placed 5th in the 200m dash in a time of 27.21, while Brooklyn Jondle placed 8th in the 60m hurdles in a time of 9.83, as Taylor Rechkemmer was 12th in 10.08. Karsyn Lande would bee 11th in the 800m run in a time of 2:38.62, while Riley Johnson was 13th in 2:39.58.

South Hamilton would send a couple of athletes to Friday’s meet, as Cici Herrick placed 22nd in the 400m dash in a time of 1:07.61, and Rosemary Chamness was 35th in 1:08.61. Herrick would place 33rd in the 800m run, while Chamness was 44th, as the two also competed in the 200m dash.
