Roland-Story, South Hamilton, Eagle Grove girls compete in IATC Indoor Championships on Friday

The Roland-Story Norsemen, South Hamilton Hawks and Eagle Grove Eagles girls track and field teams returned to action on Friday morning, as they made the trek to Ames for the 2025 IATC Indoor Championships at the Lied Rec Center at Iowa State. Roland-Story and Eagle Grove competed in Class 2A, while South Hamilton competed in Class 1A.

Roland-Story would finish 5th in Class 2A with 35 points on the day, claiming one title in the shuttle hurdle relay, winning in a meet-record time of 40.06 seconds with the team of Jondle-Lucas-Scarrow-Helgeson. The Norsemen placed 2nd in the sprint medley in a time of 1:54.03 with the team of Sporleder-Jondle-Petersen-Lane, while Kam Lande placed 2nd in the 400m dash in a time of 58.63 seconds. Adalyn Sporleder would place 3rd in the long jump with a mark of 17′ 3.75″, while the Norsemen 4×100 placed 6th in a time of 51.93 with the team of Sporleder-Petersen-Jondle-Lande.

Eagle Grove would see Addy Jeske finish in the top 10 of the long jump, placing 9th with a mark of 15′ 10″, while the 4×100 placed 21st with a time of 56.59 with the team of Jeske-Lenning-M. Anderson-Morgan. Ellie Lenning placed48th in the 60m dash in a time of 9.02.

South Hamilton would see a top finish of 3rd place in the 1A Girls shot put, as Tessa Skartvedt took bronze with a best throw of 35′ 6.75″. Claire Hewitt would place 11th in the long jump with a mark of 14′ 1.5″, while the girls 4×400 placed 15th in a time of 4:34.69 with the team of Seaton-Doolittle-Chamness-Herrick. Cici Herrick would place 17th in the 400m dash with a time of 1:08.56, while Isabel Swenson and Stella Martensen tied for 17th in the high jump, with each athlete clearing 4′ 5″.

Roland-Story girls track returns to action on Friday, when they compete in the Central College Indoor, beginning at 11:30 AM in Pella. South Hamilton girls track returns to action on April 3rd when they compete in the Ballard Co-Ed in Huxley, while Eagle Grove girls track returns to action on Tuesday, as they compete in the Wartburg Indoor in Waverly.
