From snow to cold to warmth and wind define Webster City’s weather for February.

February was a month that saw snow, cold, windy and warm conditions in the Webster City area. Records at the KQWC-KZWC Radio Hill weather reporting station on Radio Hill showed the average high for the month at 30 degrees with an average low of 7 above. The total snowfall for February was 12 inches and 0.26 inches of rain or melted precipitation. Webster City experienced snowfall events on February 11th,13,14th and 15th. There were six days in February the temperature was at or below zero in Webster City. The coldest morning was February 18th with a low of 18 degrees below zero. This tied the record low of 18 degrees below zero set February 18,1958 in Webster City. The warmest temperature for the month was 56 degrees on Friday, February 28th.

 

The National Weather Service outlook for March indicates the month will bring equal chances for both temperatures and precipitation in Iowa. The precipitation for the eastern part of Iowa could be above for March. The average high temperature for March,2024 in Webster City was 52 degrees with an average low at 24 degrees.
