
The Iowa State Patrol investigated an accident involving a farm tractor and motor vehicle north of Webster City on White Fox Road and 203rd Street shortly before 6:30 Friday morning. Reportedly a southbound 2007 model Toyota driven by 69-year-old Brian Vandeer of Webster City accidentally struck the rear end of a southbound farm tractor operated by 16-year-old Logan Baldwin of Webster City. The impact sent the Baldwin tractor into the ditch and rolled over. He was thrown from the tractor. Baldwin was pronounced dead at the scene. Vandeer was transported to Van Diest Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Assisting the Iowa State Patrol were members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Webster City Police and Fire Departments and the Van Diest Medical Center EMS staff.
