
The Eagle Grove Eagles basketball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip west on Highway 20 to take on the Ridge View Raptors in Class 2A, District 4 action at Ridge View High School in Holstein. Eagle Grove entered at 10-12, while Ridge View entered at 20-1.
Eagle Grove would get off to a hot start against the top seed, leading 18-10 after the first quarter. The Eagles offense kept their pace, but Ridge View roared to life in the 2nd quarter as the game was tied at 33-33 at halftime. The Raptors would lead 48-44 going into the 4th, as Eagle Grove gave Ridge View their best shot in the final frame, but would come up just short in a 58-56 defeat.

Ridge View advances to face Manson-Northwest Webster in the district final on Tuesday night at East Sac High School in Sac City. Eagle Grove’s season ends with a record of 10-13.
