The South Hamilton Hawks basketball team returned to action on Friday night, as they traveled to Ackley to take on the AGWSR Cougars in Class 1A, District 4 action at AGWSR High School. South Hamilton entered Friday at 0-21, while AGWSR entered at 3-18.
South Hamilton and AGWSR would go back-and-forth in the 1st quarter as things were tied up at 10-10, but the Cougars would blow things open with an 18-4 2nd quarter to lead 28-14 at halftime. The Cougars kept their foot on the gas, outscoring the Hawks 40-17 in the 2nd half to collect a 68-31 win.
Grant Larson led the Hawks with 15 points and 4 rebounds, while Chayton Smith had 25 points and 22 rebounds for AGWSR.
South Hamilton’s season concludes with a record of 0-22.
