The Eagle Grove Eagles girls basketball team returned to action on Saturday night, as they made the trip to the Iowa Great Lakes Region to take on the Estherville-Lincoln Central Midgets in Class 3A, Region 6 action at ELC High School. Eagle Grove entered at 1-20, while Estherville entered at 17-3 and ranked #6.
Estherville would come out of the gates at a furious pace, leading 31-9 after the 1st quarter, pushing the lead to 64-12 by halftime. The Midgets would take their foot off the gas in the 2nd half, en route to an 83-17 win.
Taytum Edwards led the Eagles with 10 points on the night, as Rylee Yager finished with a game-high 23 for Estherville.
Eagle Grove’s season ends with a record of 1-21.
