
The Roland-Story Norsemen girls basketball team opened postseason play on Saturday night, as they hosted the Clarke Indians in Class 3A, Region 7 action at Roland-Story High School in Story City. The Norsemen entered Saturday 20-2 and ranked #7, while Clarke entered at 3-17.
Roland-Story would jump all over the Indians early, putting up 46 in the 1st half to hold a 46-18 lead. The high-powered Norsemen offense kept their foot on the gas in the 2nd half en route to an 80-32 win.
Alyssa Jones led the Norsemen with 19 points, as Brinley Carlson added 16 off the bench. Claire Truesdell would add 14 points and Riley Johnson contributed 10 points.
Roland-Story advances to host the Van Meter Bulldogs in their Class 3A, Region 7 semifinal on Wednesday night with tipoff at 7PM
