Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge invites the public to the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art Fuel Testing Laboratory. The opening is set for this Friday, February 7th from 3:30 until 5:00 p.m. at 1310 A Street West in Fort Dodge. Governor Kim Reynolds will be the featured speaker for the occasion. Other participants at Friday’s open house will be Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and Fouth District Congressman Randy Feenstra and others. The facilty represents a major step forward in Iowa Central’s commitment to meeting the needs of the Renewable Fuel Industry in Iowa and across the globe by providing state-of-the-art fuel testing and related services. The expanded lab includes new cetane and octane rating engines along with several new pieces of equipment that will allow the lab to test Sustainable Aviation Fuels. The laboratory will serve as a hub for innovation reflecting the outstanding dedication of the Iowa Central Fuel Testing Laboratory to fostering progress and assuring quality in the renewable fuels sector. There will be tours of the new laboratory with the event to the public.
