Roland-Story wrestling goes 2-1 in quad dual at Iowa Falls

The Roland-Story Norsemen wrestling team returned to action on Thursday night, as they made the trip north and east to compete in a quad dual at Iowa Falls-Alden High School in Iowa Falls. The Norsemen were joined by the Cadets, as well as Nevada and Ogden.

Roland-Story opened with a 53-27 win over Nevada, as the Norsemen won 5 of the 10 matches wrestled. Pinfall wins were picked up by Wes Hansen (215), Caiden Latch (132), Blake Loof (138) and Greysun Lein (144), while Konnor Blume (106) won by tech fall, and Isaac Hall (150), Chance Georgius (190), Jake Rogers (285) and Noah Healy (113) won by forfeit.

The Norsemen would then win a closer match with Ogden by a score of 40-32, as the Norsemen won 7 of 13 matches wrestled, with pinfall wins from Colin Grundlingh (175), Wes Hansen (215), Konnor Blume (106) and Cyrus Wilson (120). Roland-Story picked up a major decision from Caiden Latch (126), with decision wins from Isaac Hall (150) and Chance Georgius (190), while Blake Loof (132) won by forfeit.

In their final dual of the night, Roland-Story would come up just short against Iowa Falls-Alden by a score of 37-33, winning just 2 of 11 matches wrestled. Pinfall wins were scored from Chance Georgius (190) and Blake Loof (138), with a decision win from Colin Grundlingh (175). The Norsemen also picked up forfeit wins from Cyrus Wilson (120), Kael Ammerman (126) and Caiden Latch (132).

Roland-Story wrestling returns to action on Saturday morning, when they host the Norsemen Duals at Roland-Story High School, beginning at 10 AM.
