Clarion-Goldfield-Dows basketball ran off by top-ranked Clear Lake, 81-32

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys basketball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip into Cerro Gordo County to take on the Clear Lake Lions in North Central Conference action at Clear Lake High School. CGD entered Tuesday at 6-10, while Clear Lake entered at 14-0 and ranked #1 in Class 3A.

Clear Lake wasted little time in building a lead, up 19-8 after the first quarter, the Lions more than doubled that lead by halftime, up 47-15. The Lions dominance continued throughout the 2nd half as they came away with an 81-32 win.

Chaz Lane led the Cowboys with 11 points and 7 rebounds, while Bryce Lindaman added 7 points. Thomas Meyer led Clear Lake with 16 points and 7 rebounds, while Titan Schmitt had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists.

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows basketball returns to action on Friday, when they travel to Iowa Falls to take on the Cadets in North Central Conference action at 7:30 PM.
