A brief agenda faced the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors at their Tuesday morning meeting today. The board approved a retail alcohol license for the Briggs Woods Conference Center. A maintenance and service agreement with Setpoint Mechanical of Johnston was approved for the Hamilton County Courthouse. The agreement was for a one year period with the cost of $8730.
A Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreement for the property tax revenues between Webster City and Kading Properties of Urbandale for the Wilson Estates housing project on Webster City’s southwest side was approved. The complex is expected to feature 218 units with work to begin later this year. Completion should be finished by 2028.
The supervisors approved a tax sale certificate to the city of Webster City for the unpard piece of property in the city.The bank authorization for a new K9 in the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department was accepted. A similar tax sale certificate for Liberty Township clerk Linda Pruismann was approved.
Hamilton County Conservation Director Brian Lammers informed the supervisors that an announcement will be made Wednesday on the snowmobile races on Little Wall Lake this Saturday. The event may have to be called off to the conditions of the lake with the expected warm conditions.
