On Friday night, the Stratford Fire and Rescue Department had their annual holiday party and awards night.
It was a big night honoring a long standing member. Leland Carlson has been on Stratford’s volunteer fire department for 50 years!! The Iowa Firefighters Association also came to present him with an award for 50 years of service. Congratulations to Leland!
The deoartment awarded a few other members with years of service awards:
•Gary Johnson was presented an award for 35 years of service- another long standing member and also our assistant fire chief!
•Cody Frazier was presented an award for 5 years of service
•Amanda Peterson was presented an award for 5 years of service
