The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys basketball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they hosted the Pocahontas Area Indians in non-conference action at CGD High School in Clarion. The Cowboys entered Tuesday night with a record of 4-8.
After a tough loss to West Fork on Monday night, CGD exploded out of the gates with a 28-point first quarter, followed by a 22-point 2nd quarter to hold a 50-19 halftime lead. The Cowboys would cruise from there in the 2nd half for a 78-49 win.
Chaz Lane matched his point total from Monday night with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Johnny Lomeli finished with 20 points.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows basketball returns to action on Thursday night, when they travel to Hampton-Dumont-CAL to take on the Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at 7:45 PM.
