The South Hamilton Hawks basketball teams returned to action on Monday night, as they made the trip west on Highway 175 to take on the Jaguars of Southeast Valley in non-conference action at Southeast Valley High School in Gowrie. South Hamilton’s girls entered at 4-7, while South Hamilton’s boys entered at 0-11.
Mark Henderson’s Hawks would jump all over the 1-11 Jaguars in the first quarter, pitching a scoreless quarter and leading 22-0, a lead that was extended to 27-3 at halftime. Southeast Valley would find offense in the 2nd half, but South Hamilton was able to cruise to a 46-25 win.
Stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday morning.
South Hamilton’s boys took the floor in search of their first win of the season, as Southeast Valley’s offense came out humming with 21 points in each of the first 2 quarters to take a 42-13 halftime lead. The Jaguars kept their foot on the gas in the 2nd half to come away with an 81-28 win.
Drake Warland led Southeast Valley with 28 points, while South Hamilton’s stats were not available on Bound as of Tuesday morning.
South Hamilton basketball returns to action on Friday, when they travel to Nevada to take on the Cubs in Heart of Iowa Conference action at 6 PM.
