The Hamilton County community of Stanhope will become a member of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance at this Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Stanhope City Council. The meeting will be held in the Stanhope Community Center at 6:00 p.m. Ottie Maxey of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance will explain the organization to the council and its acccomplishments in Hamilton, Boone and Story Counties.Webster City and Hamilton County became members of the Alliance in 2024.
The Stanhope City Council will consider moving the council meeting to February 18th,set the dates of May 10,2025 as Garage Sale Day and May 17th as City Wide Clean Up Day. The council will consider approval to accept the Medical Arts and Stanhope Depot properties,and approval to pay $300 to the Upper Des Moines Partnership and a review of the Stanhope City Budget for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year plus other matters.
