The South Hamilton Hawks wrestling team returned to action on Saturday, as they made the trip into Grundy County to compete in the BCLUW-SH Storm Duals at BCLUW High School in Conrad. The Hawks were joined by the host Comets, as well as Cedar Falls JV, Dike-New Hartford, Hudson, Newman Catholic, Rockford and Southeast Polk JV.
South Hamilton would fall to Hudson in the first round by a score of 66-12, as the Hawks two wins were pinfall victories by Trace Junker (157) and Hagen Klein (113). The Hawks would then lose to Cedar Falls JV by a score of 66-10, as Parker Stuck (190) won by fall, while Hagen Klein (113) won by 13-2 major decision.
South Hamilton would fall just short to BCLUW-SH by a score of 42-30. The Hawks winners saw pinfall wins from Parker Stuck (190) and Gaige Willis (285), while picking up forfeit wins from Holden Moore (126), Kyler Ziesman (150) and Brody Harris (215). The Hawks then fell to Newman Catholic 48-12, with Parker Stuck (190) and Brody Harris (215) winning by pinfall.
The Hawks then won their final dual of the day over Rockford by a score of 34-6. Gaige Willis would win by fall at 285, while Brody Harris won by major decision at 215. Parker Stuck (190), Hagen Klein (113), Holden Moore (126) and Trace Junker (157) would all win by forfeit.
South Hamilton wrestling returns to action on Thursday, when they travel to Monroe to compete in Heart of Iowa Conference tri dual with PCM and Greene County, beginning at 5:30 PM.
