South Hamilton and Roland-Story compete in HOIAC tri-dual in Jewell

The South Hamilton Hawks and Roland-Story Norsemen wrestling teams returned to action on Thursday night, as South Hamilton hosted a Heart of Iowa Conference tri-dual with the Norsemen and the Saydel Eagles at South Hamilton High School.

South Hamilton opened the night with a 57-12 loss at the hands of Saydel, as the Hawks won 2 of 7 bouts with a Holden Moore pin at 132 and a Parker Stuck pin at 190. The 2nd dual up would be Roland-Story taking on Saydel as Roland-Story walked away with a 53-29 win. The Norsemen won 7 of 11 bouts with pinfall wins from Blake Loof (132), Brady Long (138), Greysun Lein (157), Colin Grundlingh (175), Hunter Hardin (190) and Wes Hansen (215). Caiden Latch would also win by tech fall at 126, while Konnor Blume (106) and Noah Healy (113) won by forfeit.

The final dual of the night saw Roland-Story dominate South Hamilton by a score of 78-4. The lone Hawk win came courtesy of Parker Stuck, winning a 13-0 major decision over Hunter Hardin at 190. Roland-Story won 6 of 7 bouts with pins from Noah Healy (113), Cy Wilson (120), Caiden Latch (126), Isaac Hall (150), Greysun Lein (157), and Wes Hansen (215). All other Norsemen wrestlers won by forfeit.

South Hamilton returns to action on Saturday, as they travel to Conrad to compete in the BCLUW Storm Duals at 10 AM. Roland-Story returns to action on Saturday, as they travel t0 Forest City to compete in the Forest City Invitational at 10 AM.
