The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys boys basketball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they made the trip into Kossuth County to take on the Algona Bulldogs in North Central Conference action at Algona High School. CGD entered Tuesday with a record of 1-6.
CGD’s hopes of snapping a 4-game losing skid would come up just short on Tuesday as Algona would hold off the Cowboys for a 56-52 win. Chaz Lane finished with a double-double, leading CGD with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while JD Morrical added 12 points and 3 assists.
Clarion-Goldfield-Dows basketball returns to action on Friday, when they host Webster City in North Central Conference action at 7:15 PM.
