A Fort Dodge man was arrested Tuesday for the robbery and theft of two Casey’s stores in Fort Dodge. 20-year-old Christafer T. Perez was charged with Second Degree Robbery,two counts of Fifth Degree Theft, Interference with Official Acts and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. At around 3:36 Tuesday morning, Fort Dodge Police received a call from Casey’s General Store at 3327 Fifth Avenue South where Perez entered the store and demanded money before leaving on foot There was no weapon on display. No injuries were reported. Later Tuesday morning, Perez entered the Casey’s at 2007 North 15th Street at 9:33 a.m. Perez left the store without paying for items and then leaving the store on a bicycle. A Fort Dodge Police officer quickly located a male matching the description give by the caller on a bike in the 1600 block of North 15th Street. Perez attempted to elude the officer but was quickly taken into custody. Perez is being held in the Webster County Jail in Fort Dodge.
