The Eagle Grove Eagles volleyball team returned to action on Tuesday night, as they hit the road west to take on the Braves of Cherokee Washington in their Class 3A, Region 6 first round matchup at Cherokee Washington High School. Eagle Grove entered at 3-15, while Cherokee entered at 26-7 and ranked #9 in Class 3A.
From the start, the match would belong to the Braves, as Cherokee won set 1 25-11. Cherokee would continue to strengthen their grip on the match throughout, winning set 2 25-9, before dominating set 3 25-2 to come away with a 3-0 sweep.
Stats were not available on Bound as of Wednesday morning, Cherokee Washington advances to face Unity Christian at 7 PM on Thursday night. Eagle Grove’s season ends with a record of 3-16.
