The South Hamilton Hawks volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the Perry Jayettes in Heart of Iowa Conference action at South Hamilton High School in Jewell. South Hamilton entered at 7-23 and 1-6 in conference play, while Perry entered at 13-14 and 1-6 in league play.
Perry would get off to a good start on Thursday, taking an early lead on the Hawks and not relenting for a 25-15 win in the opener. South Hamilton rallied and sent the 2nd set into extras, but it was Perry that clawed out a 28-26 win and a 2-0 lead in the match. South Hamilton turned things around in set 3, taking an early lead and keeping the Jayettes at arms length for 25-11 victory, but Perry rebounded in set 4 behind a late push to capture a 25-20 win and a 3-1 victory.
Stats were not available on Bound as of Friday morning, South Hamilton volleyball returns to action on Monday when they travel to Ogden for their 2A Regional 1st Round matchup against the Bulldogs at 7 PM.
