The Roland-Story Norsemen volleyball team returned to action on Thursday night, as they hosted the West Marshall Trojans in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Roland-Story High School in Story City. Roland-Story entered at 18-2, while West Marshall entered at 9-17.
Roland-Story got off to a dominant start to Thursday night, ambushing the Trojans for a 25-8 win. West Marshall would battle back in set 2, but a late push by the Norsemen garnered them a 25-19 set 2 win, as Roland-Story closed out the match with a 25-17 win in set 3 to complete the 3-0 sweep.
Senior Kam Lande would have a monster night in the middle, tallying 18 kills, 3 assists, a block and 2 aces on the night. Sophomore Brookelyn Jondle would tally 14 kills with a block and 4 aces, while Miley Geise amassed 36 assists, a kill, 2 blocks and an ace on Thursday.
Roland-Story volleyball returns to action on Monday night, when they host PCM in Heart of Iowa Conference action at Roland-Story High School, beginning at 6:30 PM.
